銀閣寺はその正式名を慈照寺と言い、室町幕府第8代将軍、足利義政によって1490年に建立されました。
銀閣寺は金閣寺と比べると質素で目立ちませんが、独特の風情を醸し出しています。
このような寺の建築デザインは、義政が争いごとを嫌い、文化と芸術の振興に尽力したという事実と関係があるのかもしれません。
可笑しなもので、僕が通っていた大学は銀閣寺の目と鼻の先にあるにもかかわらず、京都に住んでいた頃は一度も足を運びませんでした。

The Silver Pavilion is officially named Jisho-ji Temple, and was built in 1490 by Yoshimasa Ashikaga, the eighth shogun of the Muromachi Shogunate.
It looks simpler and less conspicuous than the Golden Pavilion, but is quaint in its own way.
I guess this architectural design of the temple may have something to do with the fact that Yoshimasa hated conflict and dedicated himself to the promotion of culture and art.
Funny that I never went there while living in Kyoto, although the university I attended is just a stone’s throw away from this temple.

Der silberne Pavillon heißt offiziell Jisho-ji Tempel und wurde 1490 von Yoshimasa Ashikaga, dem achten Shogun des Muromachi-Shogunats, erbaut.
Er sieht einfacher und weniger auffällig aus als der Goldene Pavillon, bietet aber eine einzigartige Atmosphäre.
Ich nehme an, diese architektonische Gestaltung des Tempels könnte etwas damit zu tun haben, dass Yoshimasa Konflikte hasste und sich der Förderung von Kultur und Kunst widmete.
